Cupcakes are one of the favorite cakes among many peoples. You can make it in many flavors and many additives, you can add it to your kids’ launch box or take it with you to eat at work. We will publish a series of cupcake recipes for you, let us make a red velvet cupcake.

Red velvet cupcake recipe:


A) Cake:

1.25 cup flour.

3/4 cup fine granules sugar.

0.5 cup of milk.

0.25 cup butter.

1 tablespoon of cocoa powder.

1 large egg.

0.5 teaspoon vinegar.

0.5 teaspoon of buttermilk or vinegar ( to add on milk).

0.5 teaspoon baking soda.

0.25 teaspoon salt.

0.25 teaspoon baking powder.

Red food color.


B) Decoration cream:

2/3 cup whipping cream.

200 grams of cream cheese.

0.5 cup powdered sugar.



1- In a large bowl mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt well.

2- In another bowl blend butter until it becomes soft and creamy. Then add sugar, egg, and vanilla then mix.

3- In a clean cup put milk and finger or buttermilk and leave it for 5 minutes, then add red food color and mix well.

4- Mix flour mixture with butter mixture and milk mixture.

5- In a small cup mix finger and baking soda then add it to cake mixture and mix well.

6- Pour the cake mixture in cupcake mold and put it in a preheated oven at 180 ْ for 20 minutes.

7- Leave cooked cakes to cool down and prepare the topping.

8- In a clean dry bowl blend the cream cheese then add vanilla and sugar powder then mix.

9- Add whipping cream gradually and mix until it becomes hard creamy and ready to use.

10- Use the topping to decorate your cakes and leave it in the fridge to harden the topping. You can enjoy your cake with a cup of tea or hot chocolate or a cold drink.
